Heritage of War and Peace supports communities affected by conflict and violent pasts. With a deep knowledge of the challenges that arise during and after acts of violence, conflict, and extremism, Heritage of War and Peace helps partners navigate the complex acts of community-(re)building and remembrance. Preserving those memories is a central step towards reclaiming the past and building a peaceful future. Building on its previous work, Heritage of War and Peace empowers partner organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to preserve the diverse narrations and perspectives in communities experiencing violence.

Heritage of War and Peace seeks to help communities reclaim their pasts. With experience in sensitive contexts and across different geographies and languages, it bridges insights from academic research and practical interventions with the on-the-ground applications. Awareness of multilayered settings and high ethical standards and integrity form the basis of our work, reclaiming the past to protect a better tomorrow.
